Mermay-Merman

This is my take on a merman for MerMay.

I gathered references into PureRef and sketch drawings of Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia, a dolphin, a life model, a Small-Spotted Catshark and life drawings of my hand as field notes for my work on a merman.

My approach to creating a merman is combining the features of a human, dolphin and catshark to produce a creature closer to the natural world and an animal that looks like a man with the lower half of a fish's body with the resemblance of a cetacean and have gills on his neck like a shark. But he is truly a different kind of sea creature.
